WEBSITE The website has been hacked into and I've had to reload it. Some links will be broken until I have had time to sort it all. Please be patient. !! 2013 Fun Day !! The 2013 Fun Day is already booked! Friday 12th July at Forest Oak Farm in the Forest of Dean. It is planned that trainers will be available for various activities, including HTM and Agility. This new canine venue has indoor and outdoor training areas, also accommodation should anyone wish to stay over and enjoy walks to local beauty spots. Details have been sent out. If you require further information please contact Pat Thompson (see Contacts page). Make sure your place is reserved by returning your booking form to Pat ASAP please. To keep costs down we must have a minimum number of participants, so if there are still spaces after 6th June Pat will ask other friends to make up the numbers.
RSCTA Versatility Awards 2012 We have MORE new names on our Roll of Honour - well done everyone! This scheme is proving very popular and it is great to see so many demonstrating how versatile Rough & Smooth Collies can be. Several other breeds have contacted us to get permission to set up similar schemes. AGM Welcome to new committee member, Abby Lusty, and returning committee member, Peter Simpson. 2013 RSCTA Temperament Assessment Day 11th Nov 2012 This day was a great success with EIGHT Collies gaining the 'Excellent' Award. Thanks to Jude Brendon and her team for coming along to do the testing. The two successful Rough Collies were: Jan and Adrian Milligan's Ch Alfsden Hakuna Matata ShCM and Ch Alfsden's Hallelujah The six successful Smooth Collies were: Val Neff's
Hightri Until Mailings - warning It has come to our notice that some of you have not been getting your mailings from the RSCTA (New Members' Welcome Pack, Newsletters, Renewal/AGM Notices etc). Please be aware that if you have given us an e-mail address then this will be the method of mailing (otherwise it will be posted). Many e-mail systems treat mail from new/group sources as 'spam' unless instructed otherwise by the user. Such mail is then directed to a 'junk' mailbox to be deleted within a couple of weeks. Please therefore look out for this problem until you know that RSCTA mail is being correctly routed to your main 'inbox'. If you feel that mail is still not reaching you then please contact the Secretary. Breed News Well done to Delia Moores for gaining that all important 3rd CC with Manordeifi Storm Breaker at the SCC of GB Championship Show Well done to Jan & Adrian Milligan for making up Ch Alfsden Hallelujah at WKC. Agility News Well done Jane Page and Norfield Oh! What a Knight for winning Grade 1 Agility and thus getting to Grade 2!! Well done also to Secretary Jean Tuck who has qualified BOTH her Shelties for the Crufts Singles competition at Crufts 2013. Tiny 'Glen' has also gained an agility CC and RCC in 2012. Not Smooth Collies, but raised with Ch Dark Motif from Misstoff AWG RSCTA Team for Crufts 2013 The RSCTA Medium Team qualified for Crufts 2013 at the first qualifying show of the year - Beacon on 12th May 2012. If anyone is interested in taking part in a Large Team (Rough & Smooth Collies only) for Crufts 2014 qualifiers, or indeed any team events, please contact Jane Page (see Committee details).
